What is Microblading?
Microblading (or eyebrow embroidery) is a relatively new, manual method. It is considered to be semi-permanent, compared to the traditional hairstroke technique. Lasts from 1 to 2 years.
It is called many things – micropigmentation, tattooing, eyebrow embroidery, 3-D brows, etc. The term “3-D” refers to the visual effect of distinct hair strokes, as opposed to a brow that is “powdered-in” for a more solid effect. Gone are the days of stencilled, pasted-on looking eyebrows. This procedure does not damage or inhibit hair growth in the future. In fact, many alopecia clients see a surge of hair growth right after the procedure, as it stimulates the hair follicles.
