Plasma Fibroblast Skin Tightening – Phi Ion
Other names for this treatment include: Plasma Sublimation, Phi-Ion (Fibroblast) Soft surgical wrinkle tensioning etc. This process triggers an instant contraction and tightening of skin fibers to create a lifting, remodeling and rejuvenating effect. It is minimally invasive and doesn’t affect deeper layers of
skin. This method can be used to treat specific areas of concern without damaging the surrounding tissue or applying unwanted heat energy to them.
It is based on creation of series of minute dots adjacent to the tension lines on the skin. This procedure is targeted at problem areas, it is aimed at stimulating microcirculation, involving the natural processes of collagen production and regeneration. The handpiece works by pressing the plasmatic lightning from the probe on to the skin, which then superficially evaporates and causes the immediate surrounding area of skin to contract. The procedure normally takes less than 30 minutes to perform. Results are seen instantly although the best appearance is seen after 3 weeks. 3 treatments at 6 weekly intervals are often required to give the results similar to a surgical procedure.
A stand-alone (full face) treatment but also considered essential to the Phi Ion treatment for best results.
Micro-punctures are inflicted by hand, in the region of the most prominent wrinkles or skin changes, and by Phi NeedlePen system over all the facial skin areas. During the treatment specially designed and patented Phi Microneeding, Solution is applied to the skin surface and subsequently absorbed. After the treatment a client is issued with special ki
nd of aftercare product (Ultimate skin Coctail and PhiSoothing cream) followed by detailed use instruction. Proper aftercare products is of great importance.
Treatment results include: skin hydration, increased skin tone and smoothness causing existing wrinkles to be less visible and skin younger looking. Results become visible 24 hours after and shall be maintained for several weeks. The procedure is repeated three times – 10 to 14 days apart.
After the procedure, the skin will be red and flushed in appearance in a similar way to moderate sunburn. You may also experience skin tightness and mild sensitivity to touch on the area being treated. This will diminish greatly after a few hours following treatments and within the next 24 hours the skin will be completely healed. After 3 days most visible redness will be absolved.

Recovery time for Plasma sublimation
As opposed to surgery, most people can return to work the same day, as there is very little downtime, although you will have swelling and possible bruising. The eyelid skin is the most delicate and prone to excessive swelling however.
Following treatment, there will be some heat in the skin, like a sunburnt feeling with redness, and little carbon crusts where the tip has been fired to the skin. These scabs will heal and fall off within 5-7 days, leaving fresh pink skin underneath. There may also be swelling depending on the area of treatment, but that should only last a couple of days.
After Care for PHI ION Treatment
You are likely to feel a burning sensation after treatment, but that will usually disappear in the space of a few hours. A soothing cream is applied and provided as aftercare for you to take home and continue to use.
It is important to keep the skin protected with a high factor sunscreen (SPF 30+) whilst healing. Do not pick or scratch at the carbon crusts as this could lead to scarring or even infection, so keep the area clean and dry. The skin will be particularly sensitive whilst it is healing, so avoid scrubs or alcohol based cleansers. Avoid any “active” skin products during the healing phase. Products such as Alpha Hydroxyl Acids, Retinol and other similar agents. Avoid excessive sweating as this may introduce bacteria into the healing skin. Drink water to aid the healing time. Avoid the use of makeup during this period.
One to two treatments are usually enough to achieve desired results. After 1 month, on check-up appointment, the practitioner determines if an additional treatment is necessary. The results are expected to last approximately one year.
